Joe Biden comes to defense of Nikki Haley, husband after Trump attacks

 February 12, 2024

If Republicans were still unsure about presidential candidate Nikki Haley and her proximity to the Democrat Party, President Joe Biden's decision to come to her and her husband's defense illustrates what many in the GOP have known for months.

After former President Donald Trump went on the offensive and went after both Nikki Haley and her husband, Biden swooped in and defended Haley, something he would do for no other Republican attacked by Trump.

During a rally at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, Trump said, "Where’s her husband? Oh, he’s away. He’s away." Considering the past scandals that Haley has endured involving her marriage, it isn't surprising for Trump to crack jokes about the relationship.

Nonetheless, Biden swooped in and kicked back at Trump by saying, "The answer is that Major Haley is abroad, serving his country right now. We know [Trump] thinks our troops are ‘suckers,’ but this guy wouldn’t know service to his country if it slapped him in the face."

Obviously, Biden missed Trump's obvious dig at Nikki Haley's alleged past infidelity, but Biden also repeated a false story about Trump.

Ultimately, the important part of this interaction is the fact that Biden is coming to the defense of Haley, who is a plant in the Republican Party. Haley's politics are incredibly liberal, and her cozying up with Democrats and SNL elites has made it clear that she isn't a serious candidate and is only there to attack Trump.
