Israel hits targets in Syria after rocket attacks by Damascus-based Palestinian group

April 10, 2023

The Israeli military hit targets in Syria on Sunday morning after a Damascus-based Palestinian group launched two separate rocket attacks on the nation.

The retaliatory strikes were followed by attacks on Syrian army sites by fighter jets including a compound of Syria’s 4th Division and radar and artillery posts.

Al-Quds Brigade took credit for the strikes on Israel, and is one of several terror groups to attack Israel in recent months.

The violence has intensified during the holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast and devote themselves to their religion, as misguided as some are in doing so.

Ramadan overlaps with Passover this year, and has led to a number of killings by Muslims so far.

Over 2,000 police were expected in Jerusalem on Sunday for the Passover priestly blessing at the Western Wall.
