Illegal migrant 'gotaways' drop 93% after Trump's first month in office
Donald Trump ran his 2024 campaign on a promise to clean up America.
He was going to drain the swamp in our federal government, he was going to stop violence across the world, he was going to fix America's trade agreements, and he was going to secure America's border.
So far, Trump has done everything he's promised, and perhaps the area in which he has succeeded most is fixing America's immigration problem.
According to the New York Post, migrant "gotaways" who evade arrest after illegally crossing the border dropped by 93% during Trump's first few weeks in office.
A "gotaway" is an illegal immigrant who is spotted by agents, cameras, or special sensors, yet evades capture.
Gotaways were so common during the Biden years that it was almost as though our government was intentionally turning a blind eye to people coming into this country illegally.
Border patrol agents certainly appreciate what Trump is doing.
"It’s a great feeling going to work knowing that we can actually enforce the law and that anyone caught is sent back to their country," one agent said.
A source from the Department of Homeland Security said, "It’s amazing how the previous president said he didn’t have the ability to do something but the ‘orange bad man’ comes in and suddenly we are heading toward record lows."
