If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em?: Trump-DeSantis 2024 Could Be Winner

May 4, 2023

Paul Bedard, a columnist for the Washington Examiner, thinks that he has a surefire way to make sure that Republicans defeat the evil left for the presidency in 2024:

Have the two top dogs of the GOP stop fighting each other and start working together, says Bedard.

That's right, Trump-DeSantis 2024 just may be the way to go.

Obviously, Trump would NEVER take a back seat to anyone on any ticket, so DeSantis would have to settle for being vice president. Assuming he would be okay with that, think about how much mudslinging we could avoid in the primaries.

As things stand now, it's entirely possible that Trump's particular brand of politics poisons the entire Republican pool, making it so that nobody wants to vote for him in the general election.

Teaming up Ron and Don right from the get-go could be the only way to guarantee that doesn't happen.

Let Democrats try to come up with their own dirt on Republicans.

A Rasmussen Reports survey seems to support this idea. A Trump-DeSantis ticket on the survey absolutely smashed another Biden-Harris ticket by a margin of 51% to 43%.
