Idaho Execution Delayed After Failed Lethal Injection

Another execution has failed to take place in Idaho.

Thomas Creech has not always been on death row.

At first, he was just in prison and has been since 1974.

However, in 1981, he was moved to death row after he decided to beat a fellow inmate to death.

That was 43 years ago.

Yes, you read that right.

Creech has been waiting to be executed for over 43 years.

He is now 73 years old.

Creech was supposed to be executed on Feb. 28, 2024.

It would have been the first execution to take place in Idaho in more than a decade.

But that didn’t happen.

Prison officials have released a statement on what DID happen that day.

“The medical team could not establish an IV line, rendering the execution unable to proceed,” the statement said.

So, Creech lives to see another day.
