Hunter Biden's lawyer argued on Thursday that an IRS whistleblower may have committed a felony by revealing information about an ongoing investigation into possible tax fraud.

The whistleblower alleged earlier in the week in a letter that two Biden political appointees in the DOJ are trying to block charges from being filed against Hunter Biden in the case.

In addition, the whistleblower said he could contradict sworn testimony by a senior Biden official who was later identified to the New York Post as Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“It appears this IRS agent has committed a crime," Chris Clark said of the revelations.

“it is a felony for an IRS agent to improperly disclose information about an ongoing tax investigation," he added.

But whistleblowers are generally protected against punishments, so it would be way out of the mainstream to prosecute this one.
