House Republicans will continue investigation into Supreme Court leak

 January 23, 2023

The House Judiciary Committee, led by Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), “intends to probe" the U.S. Supreme Court leaker situation according to an anonymous source familiar with the matter.

The Supreme Court recently concluded its investigation to find who leaked a draft decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case.

The Dobbs decision essentially rejected the notion that abortion is constitutional right and determined that the matter would be determined by the individual states. The leak ignited fury around the nation and was an obvious attempt to intimidate the court into reversing course.

The Supreme Court's internal investigation was allegedly unable to identify the leaker's identity, but it seems Representative Jordan and the House Judiciary Committee aren't buying it.

Republicans intend to expose the leaker and send a message that intimidating the Supreme Court will not be tolerated.

There is significant speculation that a Supreme Court Justice may have been the source of the leak and, that is why the investigation didn't yield any names. If that is the case, it could be disastrous for the court.
