Hospital discovers alleged NYPD cop-killer had small knife inside his rectum: Report

Democrats and their rampant soft-on-crime policies have been the catalyst in the alarming rise in violent crime across the country and especially in Democrat-run cities.

Criminals simply do not fear the consequences of the law like they once did, and that's being proven every single day, especially in cities like New York.

According to the New York Post, an ex-convict accused of killing an NYPD officer in a gruesome murder reportedly carried a weapon -- a shiv -- with him on that night just in case he was busted by police for committing a crime.

NYPD Officer Johnathan Diller (31) was shot & killed tonight by a criminal thug in Queens.

Officer Diller conducted a traffic stop, and when he approached the vehicle, the passenger, Guy Rivera, (34) fatally shot him.

The outlet noted:

Guy Rivera, 34, was in the passenger seat of a Kia Soul around 5:50 p.m. Monday in Far Rockaway, Queens, when a couple of NYPD “quality-of-life” cops, including Officer Jonathan Diller, spotted it illegally parked in a bus stop, the high-ranking source said.

Diller's partner immediately returned fire and wounded the alleged cop-killer. Rivera was transported to the hospital which is where X-rays revealed that he had stashed the shiv in his rectum, according to police reports.

Apparently, Rivera was at least somewhat confident he was going to be arrested that night for committing a crime, and wanted to have the weapon so that he could defend himself in jail.

While it's unclear what crime he was contemplating committing that night, reports say that Diller and his partner observed him parked illegally in front of a T-Mobile store before the confrontation that resulted in Diller's death unfolded.

A source with knowledge of the investigation revealed that Rivera and his criminal partner were "casing somebody or something on that commercial strip."

The source praised Diller and his partner, saying "The cop had very good instincts. We believe they interrupted something, we just don’t know what."

Social media exploded in the wake of Diller's death, with many calling for Rivera to be sentenced with the death penalty if found guilty.

"Repost if you’re for an automatic death penalty for anyone who kills a police officer. Heartbreaking 💔 and Guy Rivera desires the death penalty," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "His is truly tragic and horrific. Officer Jonathan Diller was a patriot who gave his life protecting NYC from a career-criminal who should’ve never been on the street. Soros-funded DAs allow violent thugs to go free and officers like Diller end up suffering. RIP Diller."

Only time will tell if Rivera is held accountable for his deadly and cowardly actions.
