Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claims he has done nothing wrong, calls impeachment movement political

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas sat down for an interview on Friday with Chris Wallace on CNN’s At This Hour, where he claimed Republican efforts to impeach him is a purely political movement and that he has done nothing wrong.

Republicans are working on removing Mayorkas because of his handling of the situation at the southern border.

Now with GOP control of the House of Representatives, Mayorkas is in genuine danger of being impeached.

During the interview, Wallace asked Mayorkas "What do you think is the basis for their calling for your impeachment? Do you think you’ve done anything wrong?"

Mayorkas responded by saying, "No, I don’t. I think it is a disagreement over policy. I think it is used for political purposes to continue a negative dialogue about a migration challenge that is not unique to the United States, to continue that dialogue to uplift it for political reasons."

Of course, Mayorkas may think he has done nothing wrong, but under his watch, the border has been a disaster. Mayorkas is prosecuting President Joe Biden's immigration policy and as such is responsible for the terrible consequences.
