Hillary Clinton endorses Jamaal Bowman's primary challenger

Hillary Clinton has done something pretty interesting:

The former secretary of State has launched a crusade against America's liberal "Squad" from within the Democrats' own ranks.

New York Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman was recently blindsided when one of America's most prominent liberals, Mrs. Clinton, threw her political weight behind his primary opponent, Westchester County Executive George Latimer.

"With Trump on the ballot, we need strong, principled Democrats in Congress more than ever. In Congress, @LatimerforNY will protect abortion rights, stand up to the NRA, and fight for President Biden’s agenda -- just like he’s always done," Clinton said. "Make a plan to vote by June 25th!"

Latimer seemed thankful:

"Her voice gives even more momentum to our grassroots campaign, which keeps gaining strength because we stand strongly and honestly for our values and for our belief in delivering meaningful results for the communities we serve," he said.

Bowman was not as impressed and suggested he's not worried because he does not think Clinton can move the needle for Latimer.

"I definitely wouldn‘t call that a major endorsement, with all due respect," Bowman said.
