Gunman kills 2, injures 5, in shooting in Washington DC

Chaos broke out early on Sunday morning in the nation's Capitol when an unidentified black male opened fire and left five people injured while killing two.

The unidentified shooter then took off on foot and was last seen heading south on 7th Street, according to a statement from police.

Police are still searching for the shooter and are asking the public for help. All of the victims were adults and were transported to hospitals.

This shooting is particularly alarming as it illustrates the growing violence in the Capitol.

Washington D.C., like many of America's big cities, is drowning in violent crime, and shootings are becoming common virtually everywhere.

This shooting wasn't in the city's outskirts; it occurred at an intersection near the Kennedy Recreation Center in the downtown area.

Unsurprisingly, Washington D.C. is completely run by Democrats and so the fault of rising crime lies squarely with them.

The only question is, when will they finally be held accountable for the growing crime wave?
