Cynthia Weil, who composed Grammy Award-winning lyrics along with her husband Barry Mann, has died at age 82, her daughter's publicity agency confirmed on Friday.

No cause was given for her death. She is survived by Mann, who is 84.

Together with Mann, Weil wrote dozens of hit songs. The Songwriters Hall of Fame website called them " of the most successful songwriting teams in history" and others have said that their songs made up "the soundtrack of our lives.

Over four decades, Mann and Weil wrote such hits as "You've Lost that Loving Feeling," "On Broadway," and "Don't Know Much" (with Tom Snow).

Weil and Mann were married for 62 years after they met while working in the “Brill Building” in Manhattan and beginning to collaborate.

They were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987 and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
