GOP counting on Supreme Court to help Donald Trump

 June 23, 2024

After his conviction on 34 different felony counts in a case overseen by a corrupt judge in the liberal hotbed of New York City, Donald Trump is considering any and all options to get back on level footing.

One of the options on which the former president just might be relying is the same option that a lot of Republicans in Congress are hoping for as well:

Supreme Court intervention.

Trump and the GOP members in Congress are leaning so heavily on this idea that the Supreme Court could save him that “A House Republican is introducing a resolution urging the Supreme Court to intervene in former President Trump's New York hush money case before the 2024 election,” according to Axios.

The resolution would offer American presidents the ability to have their state crimes tried in a federal court.

Rep. William Timmons, a Republican from South Carolina, is arguing “that the Supreme Court has the legal authority to immediately intervene in the case.”

As if the Supreme Court didn’t already have enough responsibility, it might hold the fate of all future American elections in their hands at this very moment.

Should the Supreme Court step in and intervene in Trump’s trial?

If so, do you think it will?

Only time will tell, but in the meantime, leave your prediction in the comment section below!
