General Hospital Actor Antonio Sabato Jr says career is dead over Trump support

Actor and model Antonio Sabato Jr revealed in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail that his acting career is dead thanks to his support of former President Donald Trump.

Sabato Jr rose to fame from his role on shows like Melrose Place and General Hospital, in which many fans saw him as a heartthrob.

However, his promising career in Hollywood is no more, he said, thanks to his ostracization by the "Hollywood elite" after he endorsed Trump's first campaign. Endorsing Trump or identifying as a Republican tends to be heavily frowned upon in Hollywood.

Sabato Jr stated, "If you disagree with the power of Hollywood about major key points in our country, it could get very dangerous. I think it's going to be like that for the rest of my life.  But whether you disagree with me or not, you have to give some respect for someone who stand up to the bully. They tried to blackball me and to make sure I never work in this town again, but I will continue to work and make my path."

He also went into detail about surviving Hollywood's "blackballing" of him saying, "Nobody was hiring me in the Hollywood world, but I needed to make enough money to survive to take care of my family. I pulled up my sleeves, put my ego in check and did what I had to do."

Since then, Sabato Jr has battled drug issues and has been looking to get involved in celebrity boxing. Hopefully, his fortunes continue to climb after Hollywood turned his life upside down.
