Fugitive Accused Of Faking His Own Death Reappears

 January 17, 2024

Back in 2008, a 21-year-old Utah woman was the victim of a horrific rape.

More than 15 years after the rape took place, police have finally apprehended the man they believe committed this crime.

Thanks to DNA, the Utah State Crime Lab finally was able to identify a suspect.

Now, Nicholas Rossi, whose real last name is Alahverdian, has been extradited from Scotland at the age of 36 to be tried for this crime.

What was Rossi doing in Scotland?

According to the accusations, he faked his own death and fled the U.S..

He even chose a new name and identity, Arthur Knight Brown, an Irish orphan. He also picked up a British accent during his time abroad, living a lie.

He’s even gone so far to claim the police stole his fingerprints while he was in a coma so as to connect him to Rossi.

We will not know the next steps in Rossi's legal journey until Jan. 26.
