Frontrunner of Romania's annulled election indicted

The rest of the world doesn't seem to take democracy as seriously as Americans do, and we can NOT let that type of influence seep into our country no matter how hard some liberals are trying.

Just days after Vance warned us of threats against Democracy in Romania, the populist frontrunner in the country's annulled election, Călin Georgescu, was detained and charged.

Multiple raids were carried out against Georgescu and his associates, including his personal bodyguard Horaţiu Potra, a former mercenary group leader in Africa.

Georgescu ran as a right-wing populist independent in Romania's 2024 presidential elections and secured a surprise victory in the first round of voting in November.

The celebration didn't last for long, however, as the Constitutional Court of Romania annulled the results and cancelled the second round of voting.

Just before Georgescu was arrested, his team posted on his Facebook that he was on his way to submit paperwork for his candidacy for the rescheduled election.

Georgescu just happened to be detained and charged with a crime before he could do so.
