Former South African pageant winner stirs controversy after Hillary Clinton post

 December 7, 2024

Hillary Clinton apparently isn't the most popular person in South Africa as was evidenced in a recent social media dust-up involving several celebrities in the African nation.

According to reports, former Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida was roasted hard on social media after she expressed excitement about having Hillary Clinton as a lecturer for an entire semester.

The former model and university graduate took to her X account to express joy over having Clinton lecture her, which stirred immediate backlash.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine having Hillary Clinton as my professor for an entire semester. What a journey!," Musida wrote.

Reaction from other social media users in South Africa were fierce.

"Shudu babes, you should know better. You're an International Relations graduate. Please act like we were actually taught something," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Ask her why killed Gaddafi."

The devastating responses continued, with another X user writing, "A notorious and unrepentant Zionist and warmonger. But congrats I guess."

Yet another X user switched up the name Musida used in her original social media post, swapping it with "Darth Vader" as a dig against Clinton.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine having Darth Vader as my professor for an entire semester. What a journey!" the X user wrote.

Speaking of Hillary Clinton, she dominated headlines about a week ago as according to the Daily Mail, a social media post she wrote stirred renewed speculation as to whether or not she might consider a 2028 presidential run.

The outlet noted:

Both Bill and Hillary Clinton are scheduled to speak in the coming weeks at the 20th anniversary of the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas -- which includes the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum.

The event, planned for the afternoon on December 7, will include remarks from the powerful couple regarding their past political and philanthropic work.

A press release regarding the event read, "The Clintons will share reflections on the noble and important work of public service – from securing peace, prosperity, and progress during the Clinton administration to uplifting millions of people through the work of the Clinton Foundation."
