Former College Park mayor facing 56 child porn charges had connections to many other lawmakers and officials

Former College Park, Maryland Mayor Patrick Wojahn (D), who was arrested last week and is facing 56 child pornography charges, had connections to some of the highest-ranking lawmakers and officials in his party.

Wojahn was photographed with Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and other Congressional Democrats.

He was also a mentee of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who used to be a mayor as well.

Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-MD) was endorsed by Wojahn and marched in the College Park parade with him last year.

“Of course the Congressman condemns his (and anyone else’s) behavior and involvement in child porn,”  said Ivey’s communications director Ramón Korionoff via email to Breitbart News. “As state’s attorney his office prosecuted child porn cases. Had this information been known, the Rep. wouldn’t have sought nor accepted Mr. Wojahn’s endorsement. If the voters had known of these allegations he wouldn’t have been Mayor of College Park.”

He met with Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) last year after making a small donation to Act Blue that was earmarked for Van Hollen's political campaign.
