Five homeless people found shot in Las Vegas, person who killed 3in Los Angeles the prime suspect

Law enforcement officials are hunting for a suspected serial killer thought to have murdered three homeless people in Los Angeles and who is now suspected of shooting five homeless people in Las Vegas, killing one and leaving another in critical condition and three others injured.

The killings were so shocking that Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass warned the city's homeless population,"Our message to the unhoused community is clear -- do not sleep alone tonight."

Bass also said, "As we always do in the face of a challenge or crisis, our region is mobilizing to respond to this issue. We will work tirelessly to find the individual responsible, arrest them, and hold them accountable. I have met with our partners at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Housing Department, and we are moving immediately to get the word out to our unhoused neighbors in housing networks."

While Las Vegas police have yet to confirm if the incidents are connected, the signs are certainly there.

Las Vegas is relatively close to Los Angeles, and barring further evidence, the incidents are eerily similar due to the seemingly random nature of the attack and the fact that all the victims were homeless.

Residents in both cities need to be on their guard until this violent killer is apprehended.
