Only 33% of respondents in a new Rassmussen poll said they think the U.S. is going in the right direction, down two points from a week ago.

In contrast, 61% said they thought the country was going in the wrong direction, down one point from last week's poll.

The numbers were still slightly better than this time last year, when only 29% said they thought the U.S. was going in the right direction, while 66% said it was on the wrong track.

In the last few weeks, however, the U.S. has experienced a heightening of tensions with China after shooting down a Chinese spy balloon and reports that China is considering giving 'lethal aid' to Ukraine.

Another poll revealed that 63% of Americans said they think Biden mishandled the Chinese spy balloon incident.

There will undoubtedly be many more ups and downs before the 2024 election, if Biden decides to run, but  in general, it's clear that voters think Biden has not been doing a very good job.
