FBI Director Christopher Wray will testify before the House Judiciary committee on July 12, even as prominent Republicans call for his resignation amid reports of FBI partisanship and disregard for blatant evidence of wrongdoing by Democrats, including President Joe Biden.

Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) subpoenaed Wray for information about various FBI investigations that allegedly failed to pursue evidence against Biden and others, as well as fpr mishandling the investigation into Hunter Biden.

The president's son took a plea deal that let him avoid jail time on a gun felony and over $2 million in unpaid taxes (which were subsequently paid by a third party during the investigation).

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) told Fox News, "Christopher Wray should absolutely resign. What has happened in the last four or five years is the American people have seen that the leadership of the FBI is engaged in political hackery."

Presidential candidates Ron DeSantis and Mike Pence also said they would fire Wray if elected.

"No, I would not keep Chris Wray as director of the FBI. There'll be a new one on day one," DeSantis told Fox News host Trey Gowdy during an appearance on Fox News Tonight.
