Ex-election workers ask court to give them Rudy Guiliani's apartment, sports memorabilia as part of $148 million judgment

Two Georgia ex-election workers who were awarded a $148 million judgment against ex-Trump lawyer Rudy Guiliani are asking courts to award them his New York apartment and sports memorabilia including Yankees World Series rings and a signed Joe DiMaggio shirt in their efforts to collect on the judgment.

Lawyers for Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss are getting more aggressive in their efforts to get their hands on the judgment since Guiliani's attempt to file for bankruptcy was dismissed by courts, which found that he was funneling income into his businesses and failing to disclose a book contract.

Guiliani, who was mayor of New York City when the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks happened, is trying to sell properties in New York and Florida, but those and his memorabilia collection are only expected to net about $10 million -- far less than the judgment.

He is appealing the judgment, and lawyer Ted Goodman called the attempts to collect on it “designed to harass and intimidate the mayor."

Goodman also said, “the justice system has been weaponized” against Giuliani “and so many others for strictly partisan political purposes.”

Guiliani is also facing criminal charges for allegedly making false statements about the 2020 presidential election on behalf of former President Donald Trump.
