Ethics concerns about Supreme Court justices will not be referred to DOJ

 January 5, 2025

Federal court officials have confirmed that ethics charges against Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Ketanji Brown Jackson will not be referred to the DOJ.

The decision marks the end of the campaign by Democrats in Congress to try and take down Justice Thomas over alleged ethics violations due to his close friendship with billionaire real estate tycoon Harlan Crow.

Thomas had not previously disclosed trips and gifts from Crow but has since agreed to follow updated guidelines on listing free private travel and gifts from friends.

The conservative jurist has been in the crosshairs of Democrats for years as Democrats are seeking to undermine the conservative majority on the Supreme Court. Democrats have made accusations of ethics violations as well as pointless attacks on Thomas's wife for her support of Trump supporters who protested on January 6th.

The request for charges against Thomas came from Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Ron Wyden (D-OR), as well as Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), all Democrats.

It was obvious from the beginning that the ethics complaints were entirely partisan and driven entirely by Democrats but Americans have had to put up with this charade for months. Thankfully, the judiciary isn't entertaining this nonsense.
