Elon Musk Scores Big Win In Court

 January 17, 2023

Elon Musk just won big in court, as five former Twitter employees have been forced to drop a lawsuit against Elon Musk and his company because of previously signing arbitration agreements.

This doesn't mean that Elon didn't do what they're accusing him of, it means that they previously signed arbitration agreements.

Unfortunately for Elon, while he just scored a big victory against these five, there are more former employees who did NOT previously sign the agreement. Their lawsuits will proceed.

The lawyer for these employees says that he's going to keep filing these lawsuits until Elon is held accountable:

Mass arbitrations are incredibly costly for companies to defend and many employers have found themselves sorry about what they wished for when they insisted that employees would have to pursue their claims one by one.

The lawsuit was filed in November and accused Twitter of breaking a contract and demanded that workers laid off by Elon be given "the two months of severance pay that they had been promised in addition to the two months of non-working pay they had already been given as part of Twitter’s efforts to comply with the WARN Act, which mandates that California businesses give notice of mass layoffs."
