Twitter owner Elon Musk offered praise to the first presidential campaign video from Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) on Friday, which pointed out that American children are being raised to look for victim status rather than taking responsibility for their actions and circumstances.

American children are "growing up immersed in a culture where everyone's a victim," Scott said in the video.

"Great statement by @votetimscott," Musk wrote about the ad, including a link to the video.

Scott spent $6 million on ads ahead of his formal campaign announcement May 22, and it seems like the ads were fairly effective if they caught Musk's attention.

Also from South Carolina is fellow GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley, formerly the state's governor and subsequent UN Ambassador.

Scott reportedly has $22 million in campaign cash already and is said to be a good campaigner.
