Editorial writer appeals to Michelle Obama or Oprah to rescue Democrats from Biden and Harris

The calls for another candidate to rescue the Democrat presidential nomination from President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are growing louder.

On Friday, Bill Lowry of the St. Louis Dispatch offered in an editorial letter what he called a "practical solution" to the disaster that is Biden and Harris: encouraging a Black woman younger than Trump to run for the Democrats.

He put forward two suggestions: Michelle Obama or Oprah Winfrey.

"Both are intelligent, informed, and charismatic. Neither is a politician, but these days that’s a good thing," he said.

After all, they would most likely be going up against another political outsider in Trump -- or at least he was an outsider until 2015.

While his idea would be more effective than what Democrats are now doing, neither one of them really wants to run and may not be likely to agree to such a plan, even if the "consequences" are another four years of Trump.
