Durham report makes it clear that FBI should never have started Russia collusion investigation

The long-awaited John Durham report was a vindication of former President Donald Trump in many ways, making it clear that the FBI should never have pursued a Russia collusion investigation against him and faulting the Hillary Clinton campaign for pushing the narrative.

The report concluded, “Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report.”

The report also said that the Justice Department and FBI acted without “appropriate objectivity or restraint in pursuing allegations of collusion or conspiracy between a U.S. political campaign and a foreign power" and that a different standard was used to look into the Clinton campaign.

“The speed and manner in which the FBI opened and investigated Crossfire Hurricane during the presidential election season based on raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence also reflected a noticeable departure from how it approached prior matters involving possible attempted foreign election interference plans aimed at the Clinton campaign,” the report said.

Turns out Clinton's campaign pushed the FBI into pursuing Trump to deflect from its investigation into her email servers, which was actually valid, and the Obama administration added to the pressure, encouraging it along. These actions were done to thwart democracy and try to rig the election in Clinton's favor.

It was all a big distraction, or at least an attempted one. At least this one didn't succeed, because Trump was still elected, and now we know that he never did anything wrong, in regard to Russia anyway.
