Donald Trump's campaign brings in millions in fundraising after mug shot released

August 28, 2023

Former President Donald Trump's campaign reported bringing in a massive $7.1 million in fundraising after the former President surrendered at the Fulton County jail last Thursday and his mug shot went viral.

Trump surrendered himself in response to the 8-page, 41-count indictment by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis alleging that Trump and 18 other individuals attempted to interfere in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump's campaign put up a page with his mugshot and a message saying, "If you are doing poorly due to the sinister people in control of our country right now, don’t even think about donating. But if you can, please make a contribution to evict Crooked Joe Biden from the White House and SAVE AMERICA during this dark chapter in our nation’s history."

Trump adviser Steven Cheung reported that Friday, the day after Trump surrendered himself, the Trump campaign brought in an astonishing $4.18 million.

In a post to X, Cheung said, "Organic money has skyrocketed, especially after @realDonaldTrump tweeted out the picture along with the website URL."

Democrats made a huge mistake by trying to humiliate Trump with a mug shot. They have given Trump an incredible fundraising device as well as enraging Americans around the nation who are waking up to the corruption of our justice system.
