Donald Trump tweets about Pete Rose during VP debate
We knew that Donald Trump was a fan of Pete Rose, but we didn't realize how fanatical the former president really was about Charlie Hustle until Tuesday night.
Rose had just died the previous day, news that undoubtedly impacted sports fans across the globe. However, the VP debate was the evening of Oct. 1, so you expected Trump to be 110% locked in on that.
He wasn't.
Instead of watching JD Vance fight against Tim Walz for the future of his campaign, Donald Trump was tweeting about Rose.
We expected to see Trump on social media during the debate, but probably to comment about the proceedings on stage.
It just shows how much of a legend Rose was if Trump is so impacted by his death that he can't even focus on Vance going to war in a debate for him.
The GREAT Pete Rose just died. He was one of the most magnificent baseball players ever to play the game. He paid the price! Major League Baseball should have allowed him into the Hall of Fame many years ago. Do it now, before his funeral! DJT

Big-timing his own campaign partner was a move that only Donald Trump could pull off. Let's see how it impacts him this November.
