Donald Trump and Mike Pence haven't necessarily been on the best of terms since their time in the White House together from 2017 to 2021.
However, even Donald Trump is feeling the need to come to Mike Pence's defense "after classified documents were found in Pence's Indiana home last week."
Trump took to Truth Social to tell America that he knows Mike Pence just may be the most honest man in America, so there are no circumstances where we should be rushing to judgement against the former vice president or his family. He said:
Mike Pence is an innocent man. He never did anything knowingly dishonest in his life. Leave him alone!!!
CNN is reporting that Pence's lawyer reached out to the National Archives after the materials were discovered in Pence's home in Indiana.
No classified documents were found during a search at Pence's Washington, D.C. home. That search was done as a result of Pence's lawyers alerting the government that somebody had stumbled across the misplaced files.
