Donald Trump reveals news that daughter Tiffany is expecting first child
Many members of Donald Trump's family have taken an active role in his political campaigns, including his 2024 bid for the White House, but one relative who has remained largely out of the limelight is the child he shares with former wife Marla Maples.
The former president did, however, reveal in a recent address at the Detroit Economic Club that his youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, is expecting a baby, with some outlets suggesting that the disclosure may have left her in turmoil due to a desire to keep the news private for the time being, as the Inquisitr reports.
Trump's big reveal
Anyone who has followed the Trump campaign for any length of time is familiar with the former president's tendency to veer from his prepared remarks in order to make headlines or grab his audience's full attention.
That may have been what was at play during his recent address to business leaders in the Motor City, when he dropped a bit of noteworthy family news.
As Fox News noted, the big reveal began when Trump mentioned that in attendance that day was businessman Massad Boulos, father of Michael Boulous, who is married to Tifanny Trump.
“He happens to be the father of Tiffany's husband, Michael, who's a very exceptional young guy,” Trump said.
The proud family man went on, “And she's an exceptional young woman. And she's going to have a baby. So that's nice.”
Parents-to-be prepare for arrival
The news of Tiffany Trump's pregnancy had not yet been made public at the time of the Economic Club reveal, but it remains unknown whether that was the mom-to-be's preference, or if some other motivation was at play for remaining mum.
Regardless, the child is set to be the first for 30-year-old Tiffany and Michael Boulous, who tied the knot back in late 2022 after having dated since 2018.
Michael's father, praised by the former president at the Detroit event, heads up Boulous Enterprsies, based in Nigeria, and he has been assisting with Trump campaign outreach to Michigan's substantial Lebanese community, as the Associated Press reports.
Tiffany Trump is a 2020 graduate of Georgetown University Law School, while her husband is a businessman and the heir apparent to the family firm that serves as “a distribution and trading company for commercial motorcycle, power bikes, tricycle and outboard motors” and the only importer and distributor of Suzuki products into its home country, as People noted.
Tally of grandkids grows
At 78 years old, Donald Trump currently has a grand total of 10 grandchildren, and his relationship with those youngsters captured the spotlight during this summer's Republican National Convention.
Particularly memorable was a heartfelt primetime speech from granddaughter Kai, daughter of Donald Trump Jr., who offered a glimpse into the warm and loving bond she has with the former – and perhaps future – president.
The Trump-Boulous baby, with an as yet unknown due date, is poised to join a family that is never too far from the spotlight, and precisely how his or her parents decide to navigate what is sure to be the public's growing curiosity, is something that remains to be seen.
