Donald Trump Petitions Supreme Court To Overturn Colorado Ruling

 January 5, 2024

Former President and current GOP candidate Donald Trump just made a big splash in the judicial system.

Trump has officially filed a petition with the U.S. Supreme Court, asking the justices to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove his name from the state's primary ballot.

He is not going down without a fight.

“The question of eligibility to serve as President of the United States is properly reserved for Congress, not the state courts, to consider and decide,” the petition read.

The petition also said that leaving the ruling as-is would “unconstitutionally disenfranchise millions of voters in Colorado and likely be used as a template to disenfranchise tens of millions of voters nationwide.”

We agree with Donald Trump.

It is not up to the courts to decide who we do or do not choose to run this country.

It is our constitutional right to make that decision.

The Colorado Supreme Court’s action removing Trump from the ballot wouldn’t just affect Trump’s rights, it would affect the rights of millions of voters and must not stand.
