Donald Trump Leads South Carolina Polls By Double Digits: Poll

January 31, 2023

A recent survey by the Trafalgar Group gave Donald Trump the news that many predicted he would NEVER receive again.

He's polling in first place in his race to the presidency.

That's right, of all of the Republicans available in this world right now, the one South Carolina voters want is Donald Trump.

Unfortunately for Donald's opponents, it wasn't even really close.

He came in at 43% with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis being the only other person that even collected half as many votes. DeSantis collected 28%.

Third place was Senator Tim Scott in his home state at 14%. Fourth place was former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley at 12%.

Former Vice President Mike Pence was the final candidate to collect more than a single percentile, landing on 2%.

An interesting version of the survey showed how much of a shakeup would be caused by removing DeSantis from the equation. That poll ends with Trump collecting 47.9%, with Scott and Haley picking up most of DeSantis' slack. In that poll, they clock in at 22.8% and 21.1% respectively.
