Donald Trump Jr.'s new love interest makes appearance at Mar-a-Lago on Christmas Eve

Palm Beach social circles were abuzz earlier this year when rumors began to swirl that Donald Trump, Jr. had cast aside longtime fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle in favor of a new, younger woman.

Now that the romance between Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson has gone fully public, the 38-year-old socialite was spotted on Tuesday enjoying a luxurious Christmas Eve feast with her paramour's family at Mar-a-Lago, as the Daily Mail reports, seemingly solidifying her place in the past -- and future -- first son's life.

In what could be seen as evidence of her integration into the Trump family fold, Anderson was photographed at the President-elect's Christmas Eve dinner table at the lavish Palm Beach resort, sitting between Trump, Jr. and another male guest.

Clad in a festive red dress, Anderson was in close proximity not just to both Donald Trump Jr. and Sr. but also to Melania and Barron Trump.

Notably absent from photos of the holiday gathering was Guilfoyle, whose engagement to Trump, Jr. reportedly ended before she was nominated by the president-elect to serve as ambassador to Greece in his new administration.

As the Mail noted separately, Anderson has not been shy when it comes to letting the world know about her close connection to Trump, Jr., recently posting Instagram photos of a firearm and a dog, key components of her new, outdoorsy boyfriend's beloved pastime of hunting.

In recent weeks, Trump, Jr. have also been spotted in public enjoying a Palm Beach date night, subsequently jetting off on a vacation to Venice, Italy, according to Page Six.

Red flag rumors emerge

Though the president-elect's son appears fully engrossed in the excitement of a new relationship, some in MAGA circles have sounded the alarm about the subject of his attention, taking particular note of her past flings with wealthy, older men.

As the Mail reported, Anderson's social media history suggests that she may not have always been aligned with the conservative views promoted by the Trump crowd, with posts promoting mask usage during the COVID-19 pandemic, expressing solidarity with Black Lives Matter, and touting non-traditional views on family.

According to the Mail voices within the Mar-a-Lago circle have voiced concerns that Anderson is a social climber who is using her connection to Trump, Jr. to boost her own public image and gain fame.

One insider said with regard to the nascent romance, “The transition is delivering big wins for the country. We can't afford to have any headaches or liabilities trying to grift their way to more Instagram followers.”

What comes next?

At least for now, Donald Trump, Jr. appears undeterred by the aforementioned naysayers, as he has been seen in a series of Palm Beach hotspots displaying his affection for Anderson without hesitation.

Sources indicate that Trump, Jr. also plans to bring Anderson to his father's inauguration in January, placing her newfound status squarely in the national consciousness.

As far as his since-scuttled engagement to Guilfoyle, though Trump, Jr. has made no direct public reference to the split, but said upon her recent diplomatic nomination, “Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond,” just, it seems, not a marital one.
