Donald Trump Grabs Credit For Election Wins

Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he is "celebrating" the 216 victories of candidates he endorsed in the midterms and that he is not upset about the 19 candidates who lost, as some reports had said.

"There is a fake news narrative that I was furious — it is just the opposite," Trump told Fox News Digital, responding to reports that suggested he was less than pleased with the election results for his endorsed candidates. "The people I endorsed did very well. I was batting 98.6% in the primaries, and 216 to 19 in the general election — that is amazing."

Trump said that the "major" announcement he plans to make next week is still on and will not be delayed until after one of his candidates, Georgia's Herschel Walker, finishes a runoff on Dec. 5. While he has not said so outright, most experts think he will announce a 2024 run for president.

"All these guys that are winning are my people," he said.

"We had tremendous success," he added. "Why would anything change?"
