Donald Trump Gets Bad News From Utah Voters

Independent voters in Utah have revealed that they do not support former President Donald Trump.

The loss of support from this segment of the electorate comes after Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying campaign records.

"The poll conducted by Deseret News and the Hinckley Institute of Politics was conducted among 800 registered voters from April 25-28. Respondents were asked about how the allegations of the 2016 hush money payment scandal to a pornography actress affected their willingness to vote for the former president," reported the Washington Examiner. "Trump has pleaded not guilty to all 34 federal charges."

"The poll found 51% of independent voters were less likely to vote for Trump, while 30% reported the indictment did not change their vote, and 18% were more likely to vote for him," according to Breitbart. "Meanwhile, 31% of Republicans said they were more likely to vote for him, 41% said there was no change, and 28% said it was less likely. When all registered voters' answers were considered, 33% were less likely, 34% were indifferent, and 23% were more likely."

Utah supported Trump in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.

Thirty-eight percent of Republicans believe Trump didn't do anything wrong.

The results of this polling come after Trump's lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis dropped by 10 percentage points recently.
