Trump leads potential primary challengers by double digits: Poll

 February 9, 2023

A new survey has revealed that former President Donald Trump leads potential fellow GOP challengers by double digits.

"The survey showed Trump leading his closest potential challenger, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), by 18 percent, garnering 49 percent support compared to the governor’s 31 percent," reported Breitbart.

The results of the poll are as follows:

"At this point in time, Trump is the only GOP candidate who has formally announced a presidential bid, but Haley is reportedly expected to announce a bid February 15, despite stating last year that she would not run against Trump," according to Breitbart.

"I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it," Haley said at the time. "That’s something we’ll have a conversation about at some point, if that decision is something that has to be made."

Trump recently said that Haley spoke to him about potentially running in 2024. Trump said he told her "Look, you know, go by your heart if you want to run."

"She called me and said she’d like to consider it, and I said you should do it," Trump added.
