Poll: Donald Trump Continues To Dominate GOP Primary Contest

A recent survey found that former President Donald Trump is still the Republican favorite.

A Morning Consult survey found this week that Trump retainst he lead in the GOP primary field.

"The survey found Trump with the highest favorability in the race, as 80 percent have a favorable view of the former president," reported Breitbart. "That reflects a two-point uptick from the 78 percent who said the same last week."

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has the second-highest numbers, with 72% of Republicans viewing him favorably.

DeSantis was at 72% two weeks ago and then slipped to 66% for a brief stint, and he's now returned back to his 72% favorability rating.

Fifty-nine percent support former Vice President Mike Pence.

Anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy saw 47% favorability.

Forty-one percent said they'd like to see Senator Tim Scott win the Republican primary race. However, 32%t of voters said they'd never heard of Scott.

The survey was taken May 18-20, among 810 potential Republican primary voters. It has a +/- 4% margin of error.

The poll results come as DeSantis kicks things into high gear this week in the race for the GOP nomination against Trump.
