Donald Trump calls on Republicans to unite ahead of 2024

October 9, 2023

Former President Donald Trump called on Republicans to put aside their differences and unite ahead of 2024 in order to utilize their political power, which Trump believes isn't being used properly right now.

During a town hall with Just the News' John Solomon, Trump elaborated on the need for Republicans to be able to put up a strong front to counter Democrats.

Trump stated, "We need stronger people. We have such power, and we don't use it. But the Democrats use that power. And they use it very horribly into weaponization and things that nobody has ever seen outside of a banana republic."

Democrats didn't hesitate when it came to abusing their power to impeach Trump twice during his presidency.

The left has also used its power to subvert the Department of Justice in order to punish political opponents. While Republicans shouldn't follow suit, there is much more they can do to fight back.

Trump's statements seem aimed at encouraging Republicans to select a new speaker of the House quickly. Republicans can't afford to spend too much time fighting as there are massive issues that need to be addressed as soon as possible.
