Former President Donald Trump is the only American who has made the official declaration that he plans to seek the 2024 Republican nomination.
Nikki Haley is expected to run but is not making the announcement until Feb. 15.
Donald Trump isn't waiting until then to criticize her, saying that it doesn't make sense for her to run with a star as big as him in the field.
"Nikki suffers from something that's a very tough thing to suffer from: She's overly ambitious," Trump said.
He then turned his attention to other Republicans who could possibly threaten his position at the top of the Republican depth chart.
He accused Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis of begging for an endorsement in 2022 with "tears coming down from Ron's eyes."
He then targeted Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, whom he criticized for not being able to get elected without his help, saying:
My endorsement meant a lot. At the end, Glenn Youngkin needed me to do something. I did a lot for him, and Glenn got elected because of me.
