Don Trump Jr. says thunderstorms at White House on Easter 'a sign from God'

President Joe Biden and his White House experienced extreme backlash over their ideological proclamations on Easter, the holiest of days in Christianity.

According to ABC News, it was notable that the annual White House Easter egg roll event was delayed this year due to stormy conditions.

Many on social media suggested that Biden's "blasphemy" sparked the gloomy, thunderous delay to the festivities.

ABC News noted:

More than 40,000 people — 10,000 more than last year — were expected to attend, with children attempting to coax colorfully dyed hard-boiled eggs across the lawn to a finish line, among other “egg-tivities.” This year's theme was “EGG-ucation,” and led by Jill Biden, a teacher for more than 30 years.

Thunder and lightning in the skies over Washington D.C. overtook the event for some 90 minutes before the all-clear was finally given, and the festivities continued.

The American Egg Board supplied the eggs for the massive hunt, donating some 64,000 eggs for the annual tradition.

Biden and the White House were under fire for declaring Easter Sunday an LGBTQ-related "holiday," which triggered massive blowback across the country, and on social media. Donald Trump Jr. said in an X post that the rocky start to the Easter egg roll was a "sign from God."

Biden spoke during the annual event, saying, "Easter reminds us of the power of hope and renewal, and sacrifice and resurrection."

"But mainly love and grace towards one another," he added, a likely nod to declaring his support for the "Transgender Day of Visibility" designation of the day which was endorsed by the White House.

"That’s what I see in our country. We’re a great nation because we’re a good people," Biden continued. "Our values are solid."

ABC News added:

Participants included thousands of military and veteran families, their caregivers and survivors. Members of the general public claimed tickets through an online lottery. All were being admitted in nine waves until the evening.

Biden seemingly attempted to do some level of damage control when he was asked about critics who had questions about having the LGBTQ "visibility" day fall on Easter. Biden called his critics "uninformed."

He noted that he did not arrange for the day of recognition to fall on Easter.
