DOJ Drops Charges Against Democrat Mega-Donor

 January 5, 2024

President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) just stooped to a new low.

Recently, the Justice Department decided they it not continue with a second prosecution of Sam Bankman-Fried.

Bankman-Fried was previously convicted of fraud, including both wire and security, and money laundering.

The cryptocurrency fraudster was also charged with conspiring to give millions in illegal funding to the Democratic Party.

Now, the DOJ has decided that the latter charges will be dropped.

Bankman-Fried gave $22 million dollars to the Democratic Party back in 2022.

The lesson the DOJ is sending here is that you can get away with anything as long as you've given enough to America's Democratic party.

That obviously isn't a good thing, and even other people in the crypto world seem to understand that.

“The public interest in public airing of charges almost always matters. Campaign finance charges are at the very top of this list. What politicians and others knew what and when are critical questions that deserve answers,” said Paul Grewal,  Coinbase chief legal officer.
