Dianne Feinstein Will NOT Seek Re-Election In 2024

February 15, 2023

California Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein has represented one of America's most liberal states since the year 1992.

She's FINALLY stepping down.

On Valentine's Day, the 89-year-old announced she will not seek re-election in 2024.

"I am announcing today I will not run for reelection in 2024 but intend to accomplish as much for California as I can through the end of next year when my term ends," the longest-serving female Senator ever said.

"I campaigned in 2018 on several priorities for California and the nation: preventing and combating wildfires, mitigating the effects of record-setting drought, responding to the homelessness crisis, and ensuring all Americans have access to affordable, high-quality health care. Congress has enacted legislation on all of these topics over the past several years, but more needs to be done – and I will continue these efforts," she added.

Back in 1990, Feinstein made an unsuccessful bid to become the next Governor of California. She lost then but would win a special election to serve in the Senate just two years later.

She's been in our hair ever since.

Until 2024, apparently.
