There are many differences between Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump, but Florida's governor explained to donors recently that there's one key difference more important than the rest:
Trump has already proven that he doesn't have what it takes to defeat Joe Biden in a general election. DeSantis on the other hand, does have what it takes... according to the man himself.
"You have basically three people at this point that are credible in this whole thing -- Biden, Trump and me," DeSantis explained, adding:
I think of those three, two have a chance to get elected president — Biden and me, based on all the data in the swing states, which is not great for the former president and probably insurmountable because people aren’t going to change their view of him.
Based on comments like this, it's not only apparent that Ron DeSantis plans on pursuing the presidency.
He plans on WINNING the presidency.
