DeSantis threatens to send bill to for migrant crisis to Biden

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) isn't backing down after criticism from the White House over his deployment of the National Guard to combat illegal immigration in the state.

“So, we have known for some time now, right, we’ve seen Gov. DeSantis do political stunts,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said. “That is how he perceives to fix this issue from Florida, right? And he takes– you know, we’re talking about people who are coming from countries who are dealing with political strife, who are dealing with issues, where they’re trying to find asylum. And he treats them like pawns.”

DeSantis claimed that the Coast Guard asked for help from the National Guard to handle an influx of migrants that caused chaos in the waterways.

He had to declare a state of emergency because of the activity, which then prompted the involvement of the National Guard.

“We provided coast guard the assistance that they’ve asked for. We are going to clear the vessels free of charge for those residents because it wasn’t their fault. Maybe we’ll send the bill to Biden. We’ll see,” DeSantis said.

If all governors had the backbone of DeSantis, they wouldn't need the federal government to do anything to stop illegal immigration, because it would be handled.
