Democrat Ro Khanna fires back at critics after calling on Sen. Dianne Feinstein to resign

Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) is hitting back at critics after he created a firestorm by calling on Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) to resign amid the many health issues that have kept her away from D.C.

Khanna sat down for an interview with FBN’s Mornings with Maria on Friday, defended his call for Feinstein's resignation, and hit back at his critics.

Host Maria Bartiromo asked Khanna, "Congressman, you’re calling for her [Feinstein's] resignation. You did so in a tweet earlier this week. Why?"

Khanna responded by saying, "Maria, I don’t really see why this is actually that controversial of a position or why taken some heat for it. It’s a pretty simple principle. I don’t know any job in this country where you can just not show up, have no expectation of returning, and continue to have that job. Senator Feinstein has had a distinguished public service career, but ultimately, she works for the people of California. The largest state in California deserves a Senator who is going to be present at the Judiciary Committees, voting on judicial nominations."

Feinstein will be turning 90 years old in two months, and her recent health struggles have made it clear she's not fit to serve in Congress.

Nonetheless, she has so far refused to resign, and Democrat leadership has chosen to ignore the situation. Feinstein must step down, and this situation is a perfect example of why we need age limits in Congress.
