Democrat Marianne Williamson will likely challenge President Biden in 2024

 February 19, 2023

Marianne Williamson, a former 2020 Democrat presidential candidate, is positioning herself to launch a primary challenge against President Joe Biden. Williamson issued a statement on Saturday that all but confirmed she will be running.

Williamson issued a statement saying, "As America gears up for the 2024 presidential election, I’m preparing an important announcement on March 4th in Washington DC."

Rumors that Democrats don't want to rely on President Biden in 2024 have swirled for the past year. His advanced age and terrible performance have Democrats worried that he can't win a second term in 2024.

Allowing Republicans to win the presidency thanks to an easy matchup would be unacceptable, and Marianne Williamson could very well be the Democrats' saving grace.

Williamson has a lot of potential as a centrist Democrat who could appeal to the large segment of voters that aren't extremely polarized.

On the other hand, it seems unlikely that the radical left would ever accept Williamson, despite her liberal positions. Williamson is still a political outsider, and there is no room for change in Washington, D.C.
