Democrat Compares Ilhan Omar To Donald Trump

Former Democratic Minneapolis City Council member Don Samuels just took a shot at Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who beat Samuels in the 2022 primary, during his recent appearance on the podcast The Break Down with Brodkorb and Becky.

“To see government not be responsive like that to the people who pay them – it is offensive to me… Who do you think you're working for? You're not cute enough, you don't dress well enough. Nothing about you is attractive enough to overcome that deficit," said Samuels in the interview.

Omar responded to his dig at her appearance in the way any reasonable human being would; she accused Samuels of sexism.

How did Samuels respond to Omar?

He attempted to turn the tables on Omar AND take a jab at former President Donald Trump in the same breath.

“They are both divisive, they both pick a side, and [they] consider part of the American people to be their enemy,” said Samuels on Forbes Newsroom.

Trump probably doesn't think that Americans are his enemy, so I don't know if I agree exactly with Samuels. However, his main point was to call Omar a bad actor, and I DEFINITELY can agree with that.
