Democrat Chris Murphy admits that charges against Hunter Biden legally sound

 December 11, 2023

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) admitted during an interview with NBC's Meet the Press that the new charges that Hunter Biden is facing are "legally justified."

Murphy explained that he believed that "I think this is a very troubled individual who has who has done things that are worthy of prosecution."

However, Murphy quickly pivoted by saying that Hunter Biden isn't on the ballot in 2024 and, as such, isn't relevant to discussing President Joe Biden's reelection campaign.

Murphy claimed that "The American people understand that Hunter Biden is not going to be on the ballot next fall -- that Joe Biden is going to be on the ballot."

While technically correct, Murphy is willfully ignoring the fact that Joe Biden may have been involved in his son's legally dubious business deals. It's absurd to think Democrats would have the same attitude toward Donald Trump if one of his sons was involved in shady business deals with China.

Ironically, Murphy went on to talk about Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and his business dealings with Saudi Arabia. Luckily for Trump, Kushner isn't on the ballot in 2024.
