Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) called for an impeachment investigation into President Joe Biden on his Verdict podcast Monday while discussing a 2017 WhatsApp message in which Hunter Biden threatens a Chinese Communist official to "fulfill" their agreement because his father was "sitting next to" him.

"Look, this WhatsApp is direct evidence of Joe Biden abusing his government power to enrich his son, and, assuming 10% for the big guy, to enrich himself," Cruz said. "Remember, this WhatsApp says 'we want to know.' This is not just me, Hunter, just mooching off my dad."

Of course the House needs to investigate it," he went on, "but the stunning thing is what the IRS whistleblower says is [Department of Justice], Merrick Garland prevented an investigation even into this message."

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has already introduced articles of impeachment against Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, but he didn't have a coalition of support in order to make them stick.

In addition to the WhatsApp smoking gun, other whistleblowers have said that Biden was directly involved in a $5 million bribery scheme.

Former President Donald Trump, whom Biden's DOJ has criminally indicted, said Biden is "totally compromised" by the business dealings.
